| These are some posts from Zmonster for information, get what info you can. We are still in the process of planning and such. - Quote :
- Another ODA 204/DEFCON AIRSOFT PRODUCTION
Looking to see what Saturday in May would be good for the majority of folks right now the 9th is Mother's Day (Sorry, no way) and the 16th is shot (Zmonster coming back from TDY).
23MAY09
Scenario,
Situation: A small African country has asked for international assistance due to its neighborhood attempting to seize vital natural resources using para military forces. UN Ground command is forming a Allied Force to stablize the region
Game play: As of right now we will have all teams on one side (Teams will be tasked to conduct missions in the brush) This will results in a series of small sharp, intense firefights. Missions will range from seizing ground (cups), defense, personnel extraction, and movement to contact. Teams will be given time to plan before going out.
OPERATION DINGO!! A Brush War
Z - Quote :
- DINGO will have to happen on 23MAY, no way around it. Family committments prevent me and others from making the 30th a possibility.
Operations Order to follow,
Iron Man, lets start a DINGO area on the forums, Mucho Muerte is putting together a scenario brief and map,
the idea will be to have everyone on one side, but Squads will be given missions to conduct separately,
For example, Collateral Damage is tasked to set an ambush overlooking a border crossing, while Team Xray is tasked with seizing the Border Checkpoint, both teams will be told that there is no other friendly team out there, the two fight each other!
Those that sign up will be tasked by team sign up and individual sign up into two Companies,
C Company D Company
We are still hammering out the bugs but the scenario is pretty solid. Z Like I said, I tried to explain it as best I could in my introduction post, but I figured yall might want a thread just for Dingo. Alright, I got the good info straight from the Z man himself. - Quote :
OPN DINGO, a Brush War 23MAY09
Showtime 1100, Game starts at 1200-1600 Location Oso Water Release Area (AO ISLANDER)
Uniform is asked for teams, individuals are asked to wear woodland, acu, dcu, tiger stripe, marpat, multi cam
20 ft. engagement- All Airsoft weapons that shoot 410 fps. or less.
No rubber or plastic knife engagements allowed. No Pyro
Contact ODA204 direct at ODA204@gmail.com
Every member on each team will be a Combat Lifesaver, meaning a wounded player can be healed by another player untying the 5 knots on the lifeline tying it to the wounded player's arm, allowing the wounded player to get back into the game. Get hit again, and its off to the respawn location, get to the respawn, re tye the 5 knots and you're back in full health. The Standard Medic/POW Rule will be in effect and Respawn areas will be briefed at the game. Alright, this was supposed to be posted by IRON MAN, Church, or LSD, but I think I'm the only one actively on here besides Zmonster. Well I look forward to seeing you all there, look at the information about the op on the DefCon site, it should have it's own section.

| Use of clay pigeons as mines, chalk bag = sticky bomb, bazooka,
The vehicle itself will not be totall armored, the crew is vunerable to small arms fire.

Yeah, the XM1 "Leal" was a thing of beauty, we are working on a 2 inch model, and a mortar. Round design has come not so far, popcorn/bb/chalk/newspaper rounds just do not harness the full range of the system, the nerf rocket is safe and perfect for anti armor/personnel It has to be compressed air or non flameable. And shoot a soft munition (sorry no bars of soap) We found some knock off NERF rockets at a Target store about 2 inches in diameter. We also built soft rounds out of ping pong balls and newspaper/chalk (though after testing, a head shot would have been bad).

| As soon as I can, I will post the map and directions,
Exit SPID onto NILE, proceed on NILE towards the University, you will come to a street called Pharoah (it is the second STOP sign, for some reason someone stole the street signs) make a left onto PHAROAH, follow PHAROAH until you reach DELTA street, make a right, you will see a dead end with a gate, the gate will be unlocked the day of the game, proceed through the gate along the trail across the field to the parking area (marked with cones).
Map will follow | |

| ODA 204 won't be hosting any more games until August, most of the leadership is active/reserve military, which gets wiped out during June/July, DEFCON might hold one, but I know the next one for ODA will be in Aug.
DEFCON will still have Saturday skirmishes.
