TASO Discussion on indoor CQB Empty
PostSubject: TASO Discussion on indoor CQB   TASO Discussion on indoor CQB EmptyWed May 27, 2009 2:42 pm

A few players have been commenting about allowing AEGs/rifles/primary weapon replicas to be allowed to be used indoors/CQB situations up to 350fps/.2g on semi-auto only, given that pistols and other semi-auto only replicas are cut off at 350fps/.2g under the current rules.
They also made it a point to say that the current rules that any replica used in full-auto would still have to be under 300fps/.2g in these environments.

Discuss.
Opinions?

I would have to say that sucks cause even some pistols shoot harder than 300 right out of the box. Besides a lot of our AEG's shoot well over that normally. So idk either no more cqb or they start allowing different ways of protecting yourself.

I somewhat agree Guerilla, though, in my years, Ive seen some people get really hurt...

At the meat and potatos of the game, the whole goal is for all of us to have fun. And... Getting hurt, really hurt, is not fun at all.

TASO was set up to set forth a recommended rule set, set out to MINIMIZE casualties in airsoft, and to further organize the game.

Once you get into skirmishes or operations with a large number of players, it can get bad really quik if no one is careful.

This is why.

that makes sense
and plus airsoft is a sport for all ages but not all ppl are physically able to take damage/harm that can come from it or anything like it and yea i guess your right on things going bad

and i was looking at it in a paintball mentallity, take the hit and dont cry like a girl but airsoft isnt like paintball in the sense that its an under acknowledge sport compared to it so there isnt any upper leagues to make a good set of rules so fellow airsofters have to come together and make a good airsofting community, for instance, TASO

rules can be good but to many rules can make a game to complicated and get many people pissed off because no one can follow all the rules. "sorry i thought my gun was under 350" sorry i forgot or any other excuses will be comon. i say fuck it, if a bunch of white nerds want to come up and try to make this game "safe" i say fuck them, because this is not a game and it is not safe. you cant say lets shoot at each other in a safe manor. ive been shot point blank in the face sidewinder got his tooth shot off, and we dont go out raging on people to call bang or whatever we take it like men and dont really care. because we know that playing airsoft is a risk and thats the price i must play to have fun. trying to make all these rules is bull shit, its like saying lets make porno less volgar by sensoring it, then whats the fucking point. lets make airsoft safe by putting all these rules, then whats the fucking point. obviously there should be some basic rules but its not rocket science and frankly i think the rule of using tenis balls as grenades is a fucking joke, just because some poor ass dick sucking fagot cant afford the acctual airsoft grenade he ruins it for everyone. so all these new rules coming out can suck my dick.

and if all these guys want no one to get hurt, then they should just play laser tag, this sport is not for them, they make laser guns that are just as realistic as airsoft guns are. they even make laser gun snipers and everything, so go play that, then you dont have to worry about people getting hurt or any rules. so everyone stop bitching and stop ruining the game we love. id hate to see it in the future if all these gay ass rules keep coming up .

Whoa whoa whoa ben calm down there is no reason do get upset. Yeah in a sence i agree with ben mostly because there are a lot of rules, butif thats the case then football wouldnt be fun and everyone knows that sport isnt safe. People break bones all the times throw out their knee's but they do take precautions. Yes we do simulate war we do simulate the battlefield, and simulate death. But that doesn not mean we have to intentionally hurt people, I mean yeah football players do tackle people and yeah they do hurt them but none the les the game has rules offsides, audibles, pass imcompletions. So many things that say u can do this or that, but what it really comes down to is how much are u willing to put up with for this game. If rules arent ur thing then quit playing we arent forcing you.

All it takes is one or two massive injuries to spark an outcry from the public to ban airsoft in our respective areas...

Some might say, hey, if you don't like gettin hit don't play, understandable to a certain degree... Why intentionally not use basic safety standards when playing...?

Especially those like BC, or Gunz, that rely on the publics view of airsoft, to continue allowing them to use public/private fields in and around their city...

If someone were to lose an eye, or both at Fort Bad, or Freeze, more than likely the parents would send a message... Then to the local police... Then so on, and so on....... There is a saying that.. "Shizz rolls down hill"... This is what would happen... All the way down to the street level player... And a valuable field would be lost.

Just one example of why these rules exist, and will continue to exist, and why most of the teams/players/ and fields adhere to them.

thats why there are waivers, so we dont have to worry about parents and letters. if your not 17 then you cant play its as simple as that. little douch bags can ruin the game anyway. and yes i agree on basic rules. but its the other nitty gritty rules which piss me off. next time someone throws a tennis ball at me, im going to ignor it, even if it is at an official game.

Very true so thats why we are taking our own precautions to being safe. I do agree that to a degree there is a level of pain that we should be allowed to endure if u can take more then more power to you. Hell if u want i will open up on Full auto if u so choose. Either way there is no reason we should get violent and now my main concern right now is safety.

Ok there is necessary regulations that must be taken. Eye protection being first and foremost. This ones self explanitory.

As for bang rule, and FPS limit. I don't really care for but I can live with it. If the majority wants it keep it if not discard it. I could live with that more than a forced decision.

Roger, what else is a concern to yall?

This is why we exist, to take in information from the players, comments, opinions, etc, and put them on the state front...

cheers

Nah, I agree with yall on the tennis ball thing. I believe its for the same reason that I cannot pick up a ol' piece of PVC, and aim it at a squad, make a noise, and call them out....

If you commit to buying the real gear, then you should get rewarded, by having them active in games...

Personally, I think the grenade rule should only apply if you have a working grenade. Not a Nerf football lol

I agree Domino, though until some one comes up with something that is easily aquired that can be shot out of a rocket launcher and not cause a fire or give someone a concusion, lol, unfortuanatly we are stuck with nerf...

I dont think a nerf ball is a granade. if it doesn't go BANG then it's a dud.

as for a rocket launcher.... if you already made something shoot, then that's considered a BANGGGG.
Bens right
last time we played they threw a BRICK at me and said BANG you're all dead.

you know what i did?
I threw a Stick, a Rock, a Waterbottle, a bag of BB's, a Condom, my UNDERWEaR, My Teammates and my Riffle.

Then I yelled:
If you aint dead after all that... you a ZOMBIE!!

cat this kitty is for my GIRL ANI
